SceneStack was built out of a simple frustration: we kept forgetting the films we'd watched.

Not just the title — the details. What was Goodfellas actually about? How good was that actor? Did we like it enough to recommend it? The memory fades fast, and a rating on another platform doesn't tell you much when you can't remember the film.

So we built something that let us log more. A place to capture a note about what we thought at the time, who we watched it with, where we were. Something personal — not just a list.

It started between a group of friends who all love movies. Every time we met up, movies were always on the agenda — what we'd watched, what we thought, what to watch next. We all knew if we'd liked something, but the finer details would slip. One of us had watched it recently, another six months ago and could barely remember the plot. Everyone was already tracking films somewhere, just all on different platforms, with no way to share or compare.

The more we built, the more obvious it became — this wasn't just a tool for us. If you love films, you deserve better than a forgotten list.
